Nestled in the heart of the rain forest of Portsmouth Dominica, Brandy Manor Equestrian Center offers horse-back riding just in a tranquil riverside setting that allows you to experience the Nature Island like never before. Whether you are a hiker, a horse rider or someone who is keen on seeking some fun in the jungle, Brandy Manor’s location on segment 11 of the Waitukubuli trail make it perfect for such activities.
Guests can experience a unique way to see the beautiful rainforest of Dominica, with guided trail rides that wind along tracks under the canopy, across rivers and up mountains. Guests are encouraged to look out for all the various tropical flora on show, take in the magnificent vista at the half way point and try to spot parrots flying overhead during their ride!
Trail rides are offered to people of all ages and abilities*, with basic tuition provided. Brandy Manor has purpose built stables housing eight horses and a 1000sq metre sand school for riding lessons. Guests are welcome to join the regular lessons given to local younger riders on a Saturday or choose a tailored session during the rest of the week. Brandy Manor current students have even won medals in Inter-Caribbean tournaments!
Brandy Manor offers accommodation, with guest bedrooms available in the main house, a separate family cottage** or pitches are available on the private lawn for campers.
Finally, Brandy Manor offers hikers a guided trek up to the impressive Brandy falls, which is the local waterfall on the Brandy river.
