We loved the great hospitality! the advice about the environment of the hostess made us feel right at home. We have several times refreshed ourselves in the running stream. We will definitly come back aqain!

Staff responds quickly and is extremely empathetic. The location is quiet, allows you enjoy the nature of the island while still being close to Portsmouth.

Because of the location, if you were to order meals from nearby restaurants on the Carib Eats app, the service is in approximately 30 mins. The rooms are set up so that you have everything you need.

I enjoyed my stay. Trish was very helpful and professional. The other staff I encountered were also very pleasant. Nice place to get away from the bustle, also a nice place to work from. I thought the Taxi on call could have presented with a cleaner automobile. He does have a very good personality, despite leaving me parked in the car so that he could fetch breakfast. But I suppose that's part of the experience.

Take a dip in the cool Piccard River. Look out for the friendly dog that may be following Trish around. The bathrooms are cavernous. Keep an eye out for Iguanas (Iguana Delicatissima) basking in the sun and feeding on the Hibiscuss.

Trish and Q (Trish's dog) are great host! Our cottage came equipped with everything needed for our stay. Comfortable and relaxing dwelling also. My daughter enjoyed daily visits from Q and she's honestly the sweetest dog ever. We enjoyed the river, which is about one minute away. Trish was always available to answer any questions or inquiries. She also gave great advice when we were leaving in regards to COVID-19 protocol. We will definitely stay at Kootney resort again.

Kootney is in a great location. Walking distance to grocery stores, local bars and restaurants. But also easily accessible to taxi services. Most importantly a beautiful refreshing river is just one minute away.

Trish was an amazing host during our “safe in nature” stay. She was so helpful and flexible with our reservation as we faced unexpected delays. She purchased our list of grocery needs and had the kitchen stocked upon our arrival, she arranged our Covid test and the transportation necessary, she had fresh Lion Fish delivered for us to be able to cook and enjoy, and she even helped my wife secure needed medication. The grounds were beautiful to walk around and the cottage was perfect for the two of us. We would highly recommend your stay at Kootney resorts!

The beach is a short walk as well as the Main Street of Picard. The small town of Picard offered groceries, restaurants, bars and of course beautiful beaches.

Great host. The attendant Flo was so cool with us, very helpful. Went to great lengths to facilitate our wants/needs. We love her. She was funny and entertaining.

We ordered from two restaurants; but highly recommend Infinity and their local coconut ice-cream. It was artisanal tasting. Blew my taste buds mind!

The owner Trish is the best. She made are stay here at Kootney Resorts feel like home. Everything we needed was waiting for us and if you needed any thing else she was ready to accommodate. The accommodation were amazing, the cottages, the grounds, the staff were just like family which made our experience in Dominica wonderful. One of the best places to stay I give it a 100.

Kootney’s is a lovely little pair of rows of bungalow set a short way up a track in Picard, Portsmouth. The bungalows are incredibly spacious and well designed with the visitor in mind. There is everything you could need and a super-market a 10/15 min walk away (less by car).

It is near Cabrit’s Dive centre, C&D restaurant (which is very nice) and Mango restaurant.
