ATTA teams up with Compete Caribbean, IDB Lab and WOCAP FUND to host a Webinar on “New Opportunities Post Pandemic for Adventure-Nature Tourism

The Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA) is a leading global organization for responsible active-tourism representing over 1300 public- and private-sector organisations from around the world and is a supportive and vital partner for regions and countries seeking to grow sustainable tourism sectors.

Please find attached a related presentation on ATTA for your review.

As we consider the post Covid-19 pandemic, we believe that developing nature and adventure based experiences will provide a great opportunity to transform the way that Caribbean countries benefit from tourism as this will enable micro, small and medium sized companies, local communities and the economy at large to rebound more quickly from the devastating impact of the pandemic.

As a recognized leader in the area of active-nature and culture-based tourism ATTA has long-term partnerships with destinations at all stages of the development lifecycle. We engage with governments and private-sector partners around the globe to support their efforts in advancing tourism as a net-positive industry by applying smart destination planning, management, capacity building and market activation. In this context, the Caribbean is a region where we have wanted to engage and we feel that this is the right time to do that. In the words of the former Secretary General of the UN World Tourism Organisation Mr. Taleb Rifai “Adventure tourism incorporates and promotes the values of the tourism that we want - a tourism that respects cultural and natural assets, and protects the most vulnerable”.

We have partnered with Compete Caribbean, IDB Lab and WOCAP FUND to host a Webinar on “New Opportunities Post Pandemic for Adventure-Nature Tourism. The Webinar will be held on Tuesday August 18, 2023 at 2.00 p.m. EST.
